  • Palestinians in the the southern Gazan city of Rafah are fleeing towards northern Deir al Balah amid an anticipated Israeli ground operation. War cabinet minister Benny Gantz said Israel would continue its offensive until all hostages are freed.

  • The Israeli military says over 20 suspects from the October 7 Hamas attack have been detained as it continues its raid of Nasser Hospital, Gaza's largest functioning medical facility. Five patients died on Friday after power was lost at the hospital, according to the Hamas-run health ministry.

  • Israel has released more details about the 12 employees with the UN's Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) who are accused of participating in the October 7 terrorist attacks.


  • Meanwhile, talks on a hostage and ceasefire deal for Gaza appear to be at an impasse. US President Joe Biden said Friday he has told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that a temporary ceasefire is needed to secure release of hostages.
